Regular season home opener for hockey, exhibition continues for court sports

The ACAC regular season officially comes to the Briercrest campus this weekend as the hockey team hosts the NAIT Ooks Friday, Oct. 19 at 7:30 pm (NAIT 9-BC 1, BC goal Whitehawk, assists Voth and Schellenberg) and Saturday, Oct. 20 at 2:00 pm. Both games are in the friendly confines of Barkman Arena. This is the second weekend of the ACAC regular season and Briercrest (0-2) looks to get their first win of the season, while NAIT (2-0) looks to continue their win streak.

The Briercrest basketball teams travel to Mayville, North Dakota Oct.19-20 to finish off their pre-season competition against NAIA's Mayville State University Comets. The Briercrest women play at 5:30 pm Friday, Oct. 19 (Mayville 124-BC 53) and 4:00 pm Saturday, Oct. 20, while the men play at 7:30 pm Oct. 19 (Mayville 100-BC 91  OT) and 6:00 pm Oct. 20.

Briercrest women's volleyball concludes their pre-season with two games at Medicine Hat College Saturday, Oct. 20. The first game will be at 2:00 pm against Lakeland College and then the second game will be at 6:00 pm against Medicine Hat College.
